Arivalagan is a postgraduate student studying Master in Business Administration at the Irish International University, Malaysia.

He is the president of PERINNBAM Malaysia, Karate WP KL and Hayashi-Ha Karate KL. HE is also the deputy president for Hayashi-Ha Karate Malaysia and the head coach of the Federal Territory Sports Council.

His research interests include: sustainability, tourism and martial art studies.
